CONVERSATIONS WITH GOD by Neale Donald Walsch

Conversations with God by Neale Donald Walsch is a book trilogy which undeniably swept me away. It played an influence on my writings.

If you’re in the state of emptiness on life’s meaning, and it happens you begin to read the first pages of Book 1, most likely, you’ll be drawn to the message as if God is personally talking to you. If that’s not the case, like if you’re an atheist or agnostic, probably you’ll spend your time in reading the trilogy and finish it as fast as you can because it makes some sense.

However, I must say that there are statements from the “God” of Neale which I can’t take. One is saying that Hitler didn’t hurt anyone and goes far to declaring that he went to heaven. Another is when the perfection of Jesus is questioned.

Overall, the trilogy delivers a kind of God of that’s liberating, turning away from the fundamentalism of the major religions. It lives up to the definition of man as created in the image and likeness of God except again for one thing. Hitler, for being responsible of the killing of approximately 6 million Jews, can’t go to Heaven as based on my belief. Rather, Hitler has been undergoing multiple reincarnations until he realized his true identity.
